Rail Industry Work Related Violence Steering Group

Since 2008 and the disbandment of the Rail Personal Security Group, RMT have been pressing for a forum that is able to steer detail, information and concerns over violence at work. In April 2018 the Work Related Violence Strategy Group met for the first time with the RMT senior health and safety officer in attendance, there is much work to do on the subject and further meetings are to be scheduled.

Your National Executive Committee have noted and adopted the following report of their Health and Safety Sub-committee:

We note the report on file. The General Secretary is instructed to ensure our further participation with this steering group. Regular reports to be placed before the NEC. All regional councils and branches to be informed.
