Dear Colleague,

RAZOR BLADES BEHIND STICKERS

It has been brought to my attention that stickers (shown below) were found in toilets at a restaurant in Weston-Super-Mare. When staff went to remove the stickers, they found razor blades stuck behind the stickers.

This was obviously designed to injure members of staff trying to remove the stickers.

Staff should proceed with caution and use tools when removing unauthorised stickers or posters, rather than unprotected hands.

Please raise awareness of this risk with your colleagues, especially those staff who may be responsible for removing unauthorised posters and stickers.

Also, report any incidents of this type to the BTP on 0800 40 50 40, text 61016 or use https://www.btp.police.uk/ro/report/ and inform your Security team.

Please bring this circular to the attention of all relevant members.

Yours sincerely

Michael Lynch

General Secretary
