Head Office Circular: NP/141/22
21st June 2022
To: The Secretary
ALL BRANCHES
REGIONAL COUNCILS
Dear Colleague,
QUESTIONS AND REPORTING INCIDENTS DURING INDUSTRIAL ACTION
Further to my circular of yesterday in which I asked that if you become aware of measures employers are taking to undermine the RMT dispute, which have already had/or have the potential to lead to a dangerous incident, then please notify me at this email address: action@rmt.org.uk.
I now write to request that, if you haven’t already done so, that you share this circular with your local branch representatives – health and safety, industrial and other branch officials as you think relevant so that they are aware of this email address also.
As I explained in my previous circular this information will be used to build a national picture of strike breaking and its impact on safety, to contact companies as necessary to demand they cease such actions, to contact ORR to alert the organisation and ask for its intervention, and to advise members if and when necessary, as to what actions to take if they feel they are at risk.
If you/your reps do need to report anything to the action@rmt.org.uk please provide as much relevant information as possible, including details on what has happened, where it has happened, who it involved, when and why.
This email address will be monitored throughout the period of strike action, including the days between the strikes.
With kind regards.
Yours sincerely
Michael Lynch
General Secretary
