RESUMPTION OF ONBOARD DUTIES - GREATER ANGLIA
I write further to Head Office Circular NP/122/21 of 20th April 2021 to explain that the RMT have now received satisfactory assurances from Greater Anglia that RMT members will not be victimised or face disciplinary if they need to enact the worksafe procedure when carrying out customer service duties.
The Midlands Sub-Committee of your National Executive Committee (NEC) met recently to discuss this issue and consequently the NEC met on 29th April 2021 and noted and adopted the decision as below from the Sub-committee:
That we note the correspondence from the company. The representatives are happy with the assurances contained within the letter.
We instruct the General Secretary to inform the company we are no longer in dispute over this issue.
Relevant Regional Councils, Branches and Members to be informed.
