Dear Colleague,

 

RFA FLEET SOLID SUPPORT SHIPS (FUTURE BUILD)

 

Following receipt of a report about the RFA securing an order of new vessels, it has been discovered that the vessels in question have no port holes in the plans. RMT has demanded that these should be added as it would be unfair for seafarers to have no natural light within the cabins. 

 

At its meeting on 4^th April 2023, your National Executive Committee resolved as follows:

 

We note the report on file from the Regional Organiser and we instruct the general Secretary to take up our concerns with our Parliamentary Group as requested within the report.

 

Maritime Branches and Regional Councils to be advised.
