RICF – CHANGES TO GOVERNMENT GUIDANCE ON SELF ISOLATION
Your National Executive Committee (NEC) met on 16th September 2021 to discuss a report from its Health and Safety Sub-committee relating to correspondence received from RICF (Rail Industry Corona Forum). This correspondence related to the change in Government Guidance and Self Isolation which explained that those who are double vaccinated no longer need to self-isolate if they are identified as a close contact of a positive Covid-19 case. In their letter the RICF set out the default employer approach in relation to this Government Guidance.
The report adopted by the NEC is as follows:
We note the correspondence received from RICF.
The General Secretary is instructed to write to RICF to thank them for their correspondence and to confirm that we have noted the content of their letter.
Branches and Regional Councils to be advised and to circulate the correspondence from RICF.
Please bring the contents of this circular to the attention of relevant members.
