Dear Colleague

RMT’s MARITIME HEALTH AND SAFETY STRATEGY

In the run up to International Workers’ Memorial Day this Sunday (28th April) I thought it would be pertinent to share this video prepared by your National Secretary Darren Procter:

Why not become an RMT Health and Safety Representative?

You will be equipped to develop engagement amongst members, recruit non-members by demonstrating the RMT is the collective voice representing its members and seek cultural improvements and structural change to ensure Health and Safety is taken seriously.

RMT has a dedicated Health and Safety team, accessible local, regional, and national officials to assist you in developing a quality argument to your employer on any issue you and the members of your respective vessel, rig, platform, office or port believe to pose a risk.

Please bring this circular to the attention of all relevant members.

Yours sincerely

Michael Lynch

General Secretary
