RSSB – Future Rules Review Group (FRRG)

RSSB have established a rail industry forum to lead on the development of rules for the deployment of future technologies including the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS). FRRG is made up of experts with a wide range of operational and wider industry knowledge. On giving consideration to a request from RSSB for an RMT representative the General Grades Committee noted and adopted the following report from their Health and Safety Sub-committee:

We note the report on file and the request for RMT representation on the Working Group. We instruct the General Secretary to nominate Bro. M Bellenie to be our representative on the Group. We further instruct the General Secretary to ensure reports of the meetings are to be placed on file and that Quarterly reports are made for this General Grades Committee.

Branches and Regional Councils be advised.

I am acting in accordance with these instructions and will keep you informed of developments with this case.
