Safety Related Incidents & Signaller Workload Increase Caused by Automatic Route Setting (ARS)

Further to Head Office Circular NP/083/18, 15th May 2018, further information in this matter has been gained through our representatives’ diligent efforts. On giving consideration into the report of our representatives the National Executive Committee have noted and adopted the following report of their Health and Safety Sub-committee:

We note the further information on file concerning the short comings of the implementation of the new technology. The General Secretary is instructed to arrange an urgent meeting at director level with NR and with the ORR to address these issues.

Branches and Regional Councils be advised.
