SCOTRAIL - MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT POLICY

I write in connection with the above, a policy which as ScotRail write in the introduction to the document aims to “go beyond compliance with applicable labour and employment law to promote good mental health and wellbeing by providing healthy working environments that develop and nurture colleagues”.

When your National Executive Committee (NEC) met on 1st April they agreed to support implementation of the ScotRail policy when they adopted the report of the NEC Health and Safety sub-committee:

We note the proposal from the company and the report from RMT’s Lead officer.

The General Secretary is instructed to write to the company accepting its proposal.

Branches and Regional Councils to be informed.

I am acting in accordance with these instructions and will keep you advised of developments.
