SLIPS TRIPS AND FALLS

Following a resolution to the National Health and Safety Advisory Conference the Council of Executives have noted and adopted the following report of their Health and Safety Sub-committee:

We note the resolution from South London Rail Branch. We further note the campaign the RMT has been running within Network Rail on Slips, Trips and Falls     in which workers are engaged by Health and Safety Reps to design their own solutions to Slips, Trips and Falls risk. The General Secretary is instructed to develop this campaign across all sections of the RMT membership. Reports on progress with this matter to be placed back before this Council of Executives.

Branches, Shipping Branches and Regional Councils to be informed.

I am acting in accordance with these instructions and will keep you informed of developments with this case.

Please bring the contents of this circular to the attention of relevant members.
