SOUTH WESTERN - 442 UNITS – SAFETY CONCERNS

A report has been received over the introduction off 442 units being brought back into traffic operation. Concerns have been raised over their poor condition and traffic worthiness by the company council. Further an addition repot has been received from the Regional Organiser providing further detail after discussion with the company.

The briefing was considered by the NEC at their meeting of 22nd October 2019 where they noted and adopted the following report of their Health and Safety Sub-committee:

We note the report on file and further note that there have been recent developments. General Secretary is instructed to obtain a further report on this matter. This report to be placed back in front of this National Executive Committee.
