STAFF ASSAULTS

AGM Item 37 called on the union to ensure that in cases of assaults on our members that all companies fully support staff, push for the strongest penalties against perpetrators and stop victimising staff and even, in some instances, discipline staff.

The National Executive Committee have noted and adopted the following report of their Health and Safety Sub-committee:

We note the resolution on file and instruct the General Secretary to review RMT’s Charter of Protection which gives support to RMT representatives. This publication needs bringing up to date in line with the resolution and addressing issues affecting all areas of RMT membership.

Branches and Regional Councils be advised.
