Stagecoach UK Bus Medical Examinations Policy

Meetings have been taking place between Stagecoach UK and the Joint National Consultation Forum where the company tabled a proposed revision of their medical examinations policy. These new proposals take account of the many points made by RMT. The new version is simpler and far less onerous on new employees and our members going through age related medical examinations.

On considering the reports from the JNCF, the National Executive Committee have noted and adopted the following report of their Southern Safety Sub-committee:

We note the correspondence on file.

We further note that a meeting took place on 4th July between the company and the JNCF and RMT representatives and this was regarded as an improvement to this policy.

We instruct the General Secretary to inform the company of our acceptance of this policy.

Relevant Branches and Regional Councils to be advised.
