TRAIN DESPATCH INTERFERENCE FROM THE PUBLIC

 

The following resolution was passed at RMT National Industrial Organising Conference of Train Crew and Shunting grades 2024: 

 

That this conference instructs the General Secretary to approach the TOCs about a campaign across the industry of standardized messaging. 

 

Educating and advising passengers of the danger from interrupting staff when they are in the process of dispatching a train and to not do so.

 

            At its meeting on 8^th May 2025, your NEC noted and adopted the following report from its health and safety subcommittee:                        

 

We note the resolution from our National Industrial Organising Conference of Train Crew & Shunting Grades 2024.

 

The General Secretary is instructed to act in accordance with the sentiments of the resolution.
