TRAIN EMERGENCY STOP SYSTEM - TESS
An RSSB briefing has been passed to the Union by a Health and Safety Representative about Train Emergency Stop System (TESS) following a presentation at LNER Joint Safety Council.
The briefing was considered by the NEC at their meeting of 22nd October 2019 where they noted and adopted the following report of their Health and Safety Sub-committee:
We note the presentation on file and in particular that RMT’s concerns over the risk analysis of T1059 have been raised at PTSRG. General Secretary is instructed to formally communicate these concerns to RSSB. A full report to be placed back in front of this National Executive Committee.
