Vacancy – Junior Solicitor (12 months Fixed Term Contract) Maritime House, London
A temporary vacancy has arisen for the post of Junior Solicitor within our Legal Department on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. The role is based at Maritime House in Clapham, London, providing high quality legal services to RMT and its members as part of a supportive and friendly Legal team.
To succeed in this new role you will:
• Be a qualified Solicitor with valid certification to practise law in England and Wales. • Have at least 2 years’ post qualification experience in practising industrial and employment law including handling cases in Employment Tribunal and conducting legal research. • Be able to build and develop solid working relationships with a diverse range of people. • Support the core principles of the RMT and the trade union movement. • Demonstrate a commitment and an understanding of the Union’s Equal Opportunity Policy.
The position attracts an annual salary of £49,381 per annum plus a London Allowance of £4,850 per annum for 34-hour week.
In addition we can offer you a friendly working environment, a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave and assistance with travel to and from work up to a 40-mile limit.
