Please note that for members’ family members they may use the same process for accidents other than accidents at work, member should abide by the same process. The scheme does not cover family members injured at work who are not Union members.

I note that Branch Secretaries may from time to time wish to receive updates on a member’s case. Branches are encouraged to contact the case handler if they can assist with any information, it is always better to build up a rapport with the solicitor handling the claim. I recognise that occasionally our member may have a concern about their case and may bring it to your attention. I have therefore arranged for our solicitors to provide a point of contact to whom they can refer their concerns to in the first instance. I am assured that our Branch Secretaries can make contact with the following people:

London/SE: Andrew Hutson AndrewHutson@thompsons.law.co.uk
Wales/SW: Catherine Cladingbowl CatherineCladingbowl@Thompsons.law.co.uk
Midlands: Stephen Jones StephenJones@thompsons.law.co.uk
North West: Philip Liptrot PhilipLiptrot@Thompsons.law.co.uk

Should the issue be unresolved than please contact the Head of the Legal Department who will investigate your concerns and seek a resolution for you and our member.
Please bring these matters to the attention of members and activists

Yours sincerely
