Circular Num: NP/ 393/21
To: The Secretary All Branches & Regional Councils/ Great Eastern Railways
GREAT EASTERN RAILWAYS SECTION OF THE RAILWAYS PENSION SCHEME (RPS) - PENSIONS COMMITTEE MEMBER APPOINTEE
Please be advised that due to the term of office ending in January 2022 for the current RMT nominee on the Great Eastern Railways Pensions Committee a vacancy will arise in the RMT members constituency group. We therefore seek nomination for this position.
I would advise that the term of office is for 3 years and the current RMT nominee can be re-elected. The current nominee, Stuart Ball, has indicated that he will be re-standing for this position.
Can you please bring this circular to the attention of your Branch and if you have a member who is interested in standing for this position they need to complete and send in the attached nomination form no later than Friday 19th November 2021.
- To stand for this position the individual needs to be an active (contributing) member of the Great Eastern Railways section of the RPS.If the member is unsure which section of the RPS they contribute to then they need to contact the administrators of the RPS on0800 2 34 3434 or at email@example.com
- This position is only open to those who are fully paid up members of the RMT in compliance under Rule and they will need to be nominated by their RMT Branch.
In the event of more than one person being nominated an election of all Great Eastern Railways RMT members will take place. I would therefore ask that members nominated by their Branch complete an election address on the nomination form provided.
I have also attached the relevant Pension Committee background information for any member who may be interested in standing.
If you require any further information please contact the RMT Pensions Officer Paul Norris on 020 7529 8806 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
