Dear Colleagues,

HULL TRAINS SECTION OF THE RAILWAYS PENSION SCHEME (RPS)

I refer to my previous Circular, NP/291/21, 6th August 2021, as previously advised management have informed the RMT that they have not set a date when the Hull Trains Pension Scheme will close to future accrual until they have reconsidered their position.

In light of a report from our Regional Organiser for Hull Trains your National Executive Committee on 10th August 2021 made the following report:

“That we note the report from the Lead officer for Hull Trains and Hull Trains are yet to make a final decision on the closure of the Pension scheme.

Taking the views of the lead officer and the views of our representatives who wish that until such time as Hull Trains makes a decision on the pension that all action should be suspended including industrial action and action short of industrial action.

Accordingly, the General Secretary is instructed to suspend all industrial action until further notice.

Any updates to be placed back before the NEC.

Members to be informed by text and email.

Relevant Branches, Regional Councils and Reps to be advised"
