HULL TRAINS SECTION OF THE RAILWAYS PENSION SCHEME (RPS)
MEMBERS MEETING TUESDAY 27TH JULY 2021
I refer to my previous Circular, NP/254/21, 16th July 2021, as reported following further discussions with management in respect of their proposal to close the Hull Trains section of the RPS for future accrual your National Executive Committee agreed to suspend all industrial action to allow talks to take place between First Group, the RMT General Secretary and your representatives. These talks are due to take place on Friday 23rd July 2021.
So that our members at Hull Trains can be advised of the outcome of these talks it has been proposed that a meeting should take place on Tuesday 27th July 2021. This meeting will allow our members to ask questions and more importantly to give their views on the current position. Please see below the meeting details.

In attendance will be Steve Hedley the RMT Senior Assistant General Secretary, Gary Jackson the Regional Organiser for Hull Trains, Jared Wood National Executive Committee member, and Paul Norris the RMT Pensions Officer.
I would urge all Hull Trian’s members to attend this important meeting because it is crucial that they fully understand what is at stake if the Hull Trains Pension Scheme is closed.
