Dear Colleagues,

Northern Rail (Ex North West) Section of the Railways Pension Scheme – Pension Committee Elections

I refer to my previous Circular NP/365/13, 20th December 2013, after consultation with members of the Northern Rail (ex North West) section of the Railways Pension Scheme (RPS), the administrators of the scheme have indicated that an election will be necessary due to the number of candidates wishing to be considered.

As you will recall the General Grades Committee (GGC) on 12th December 2013 supported Bro. Daren Ireland and Bro. Kevin Morrison as the RMT’s preferred candidates in the event of an election being called.

Members of the Northern Rail ex North West section of the RPS will shortly receive a letter from the administrators of the RPS asking them to vote for their preferred candidates.

I would urge all relevant branches and representatives to encourage members of this RPS section to vote for Daren and Kevin to ensure that their interests are fully represented on this pension committee.
