RMT Merchant Navy Ratings Pension Fund (MNRPF) –
Region Two Trustee Nomination

As a result of Bro. Lloyd resigning from his position as the RMT Shipping Region Two MNRPF trustee, please be advice that nominations are now requested to fill this position.   

In line with the agreed procedure Region Two Shipping Branches are now requested to nominate their own trustee.

In the event that more than one person stands, an election would take place within Region Two on the branch block vote system. The elected member would then be endorsed by the Shipping Committee to participate on the MNRPF Trustee Board for a term of office of four years.

Please note that in the absence of nominations the Shipping Committee will appoint trustees to fill vacancies on the MNRPF Trustee Board.

Candidates need to meet the following criteria-:

a.    To be nominated as a trustee, the individual would need to be a fully paid up member of the RMT or a member still in compliance under Rule.

b.    The member also needs to be in either in section 148/31 May 2001, or LPI 7 or a deferred member of the MNRPF.

Because of the importance of this position successful candidates will be expected to carry out relevant training and to attend MNRPF Trustee Board meetings. The RMT will fully support and assist the successful candidate.

Nominations will close on Friday 10th April 2015. Please find attached the relevant nomination form.
