TFL PENSION FUND – INDEPENDENT REVIEW

I refer to my previous Circular NP/334/21, 8th September 2021, I can advise that following the publication of the first stage of the Call for Evidence document in respect of the TfL Pension Fund review the staff side of the Pensions Working Group (PWG) were invited to respond to this consultation. I have attached the Call for Evidence document for your information.

To remind you the PWG is made up of the recognised trade unions across LUL, and TfL management. The purpose of the PWG is to discuss matters in relation to the TfL Pension Fund.

As previously reported the staff side of the PWG, and our colleagues from the Pensions Consultative Committee (PCC), have been meeting regularly to discuss the review and how best we are to defend members pensions. Following publication of the Call for Evidence it was agreed that the staff side of the PWG would jointly respond to the consultation. I am pleased to advise that the attached response to the Call for Evidence has been submitted to the Review Body on behalf of the staff side of the PWG. I would hope that this response is brought to the attention of as many of your members as possible.
