27^th January 2024 – Oppose Minimum Service Levels. Protect Trade Union Rights. March and Rally

 

RMT members and activists are encouraged to attend this important march and rally to mark forty years since 25th Jan 1984 when Thatcher’s Conservative government attacked trade union rights at GCHQ. Union members were told to resign their membership or be sacked. 

 

This anti-trade union legislation was subsequently repealed but as we move into 2024 this Tory Government is similarly imposing draconian anti-trade union legislation which will effectively ban our right to strike and this demo is an important moment to stand up and send this Government and any employer who tries to use this legislation a very clear message of defiance and non-compliance.
