AUTISM IN THE WORKPLACE

Please find enclosed a copy of the TUC handbook Autism in the Workplace written by our union’s representative on the TUC Disabled Workers’ Committee, Janine Booth. This is the result of the resolution the union successfully proposed to the TUC Disabled Workers' Conference last year. It is based on the work Janine has been doing on this issue with the support of RMT, including the training courses she has been running with the Workers’ Educational Association in London.

This booklet should help trade unions in representing and defending autistic workers and becoming more autism-friendly themselves.  The booklet is also freely available to read and download on: http://www.tuc.org.uk/sites/default/files/Autism.pdf
