Demand a Workers Transition – Rally

 

I am writing to request that RMT members attend the rally being held outside the Westminster Parliament next week to demand a worker-led transition in the offshore energy industry.

 

The rally^[1] will take place 0830-0930, Wednesday 14^th May, Abingdon Street Gardens, 5 Great College Street, London SW1P 3SE. 

 

This event is being organised by pro-worker green groups, in collaboration with RMT, Unite and PCS. RMT National Secretary Darren Procter is speaking at the rally, along with Labour, SNP and Green politicians and trade unionists, including Aberdeen Trades Council, to keep the pressure up on government to implement a worker-led plan to protect jobs, skills and communities in the offshore energy sector.
