Circular No. NP/241/22

Dear Colleague,

UNITED FAMILIES AND FRIENDS DEMONSTRATION – 29 OCTOBER 2022

This Saturday the United Families & Friends Campaign is holding its annual procession in central London.

The United Families & Friends Campaign (UFFC) is a coalition of those affected by deaths in police, prison and psychiatric custody, and supports others in similar situations.
Established in 1997, initially as a network of black families, over recent years the group has expanded and now includes the families and friends of people from varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

The union has supported UFFC for many years. I encourage RMT members, with their friends and family to show solidarity with the families of those who have died in police custody.

We join with them to say that enough is enough and that without justice there will be no peace.

To join Saturday’s event, please assemble from 12 noon in Trafalgar Square, London.

Yours sincerely,

Michael Lynch
General Secretary
