National March for Palestine – Saturday 27^th April and May Day Workplace Day of Action for Palestine

 

RMT, alongside other trade unions have been consistent in condemning the atrocious violence, calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire and for a lasting peace in both Israel and Palestine and we have always been conscious that we will have members who may have been personally impacted by the horrific ongoing situation in the region. 

 

RMT is dismayed that violence and the bombardment and siege of Gaza continues and with famine now breaking out across the Gaza strip, it is now more important than ever that we keep up the pressure with protests and campaigning happening across the UK demanding an immediate and permanent ceasefire.

 

On Saturday 27^th April Palestine Solidarity Campaign have once again called a National Demonstration in London which will begin to assemble at 12:00pm noon at Parliament Square before marching to Hyde Park for a rally.

 

Trade Union bloc

 

There will be a Trade Union Bloc on the National March for Palestine that will begin forming up from 11:30am Outside the Supreme Court, Parliament Square Please bring flags and banners.

 

May Day Workplace Day of Action for Palestine – Wednesday 1^st May

 

RMT is supporting the Stop the War Coalition May Day Workplace Day of Action for Palestine and supports the call for RMT Members to take campaigning action to stand in solidarity and demand peace and justice for the Palestinians. On May Day Wednesday 1^st May where you can please take the time to download and print the attached image and take a photo and post it on your social media with the hashtags #MayDay4Palestine and #CeasefireNOW
