ITF: SUPPORTING WOMEN AT SEA WEBINAR – FRIDAY 7 MARCH 2025

 

I am writing to advise you that the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) is holding a webinar to promote careers at sea for women seafarers. The webinar will be held on Friday 7 March at 12:00 (GMT). 

 

The webinar will be chaired by the ITF Maritime Coordinator, Jacqueline Smith, and include a number of speakers from the shipping industry. 

 

The webinar will discuss what is it like to be a woman working at sea; what the challenges are and the opportunities. Discussions will also take place looking at how the industry can collectively work together to recruit and retain women on board ships. 

 

The webinar will also promote the brand new ITF website for women seafarers which is now available here: www.womenatsea.org.uk
