National March for Palestine and Palestine Solidarity Campaign

 

RMT, alongside other trade unions have been consistent in condemning the atrocious violence and for calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire and for a lasting peace in both Israel and Palestine and we have always been conscious that we will have members who may have been personally impacted by the horrific situation in the region. 

 

There now seems to be an agreement for a temporary cessation in violence which is encouraging and this deal almost certainly would not have happened were it not for the relentless pressure from the protests and campaigning happening in the UK and across the world over the last few weeks, with millions upon millions of people taking to the streets. This pressure must be maintained though to ensure this deal becomes a permanent ceasefire and that there is no return to violence. 

 

On Saturday 25^th November the Palestine Solidarity Campaign have once again called a National Demonstration in London which will begin to assemble at 12:30pm at Park Lane near Hyde Park Corner before marching to Whitehall 

 

Trade Union bloc

 

There will be a Trade Union Bloc on the National March for Palestine that will begin forming up from 11:30am at the corner of Hertford Street and Park Lane. Please bring flags and banners.

 

Other National Demos

 

As well as London there are also PSC demos taking place in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen and Cardiff on Saturday 25^thNovember, please check online for further details.
