NATIONAL UNION EDUCATION ADVISORY CONFERENCE 2025

 

I am pleased to inform you that the 2025 National Union Education Advisory Conference will take place at The Rochester Corn Exchange, Northgate, Rochester, Kent, ME1 1LS on Wednesday 12 March 2025. Please arrive at 930hrs for a prompt start to the conference at 1000hrs. The conference concludes at 1500hrs on the day.

 

A Training and Development Day is also planned for Tuesday 11^th March 2025 at the same venue, The Rochester Corn Exchange and we look forward to welcoming Conference delegates including RMT Tutors and Union Learning Representatives. The Training and Development Day will commence at 1000hrs and conclude at 1600hrs. 

 

Branches and Regional Councils are entitled to nominate a maximum of 4 delegates each. Nominations must be made on the attached form, which should be returned to Bob Crow National Education Centre by Monday 3rd March 2025 or via email to m.cudjoe@rmt.org.uk.  

 

Branches and Regional Councils are also invited to submit motions for the agenda of the Conference which should be relevant to education and training throughout the transport industry and must conform to Union policy. All motions must be received at Bob Crow National Education Centre or via email to m.cudjoe@rmt.org.uk by Monday 3^rd March 2025. In addition to the above, invitations would be welcome from Branches and Regional Councils to host the 2026 Conference.

 

Branches and Regional Councils need to confirm with delegates that they are up to date with subscriptions and what can be put towards their expenses before nominating. A per delegate payment is made to Branches, up to a maximum of seven, per Branch per year, payable in respect of delegates to a Grades Conference or the RMT National Women’, Young Members’, Health and Safety, Black and Ethnic Minority Members’, LGBT+ Members’ or Disabled Members’ Conference.
