Nominations for Services to Seafarers Welfare award 2022

I am writing to encourage Branches to submit nominations to the Services to Seafarers’ Welfare award which is made every year by the Merchant Navy Welfare Board (MNWB). RMT is a trustee of the MNWB.

RMT members can nominate seafarers for this award which recognises those who have made a long term contribution, including to the welfare of merchant navy Ratings, either in a voluntary or a professional capacity. The nomination form is available on the MNWB website here: https://www.mnwb.org/nominate-award

Nominations can be submitted and the deadline is likely to be in July this year. I will contact you again to confirm the nomination deadline date after the MNWB meeting in March, at which RMT will be represented.
