Head Office Circular No. NP/078/23

Dear Colleagues

‘Our Work Matters – Justice for outsourced facilities workers’ – new TUC campaign launched

Across the trade union movement, outsourced facilities workers are mobilising, organising and taking collective action to win better pay and conditions and to campaign for insourcing.

RMT has been working with the TUC in developing a new campaign – ‘Our Work Matters – Justice for outsourced facilities workers’.

We want to share knowledge and work together to improve working life for outsourced workers and build political support for ending the scourge of outsourcing.

The campaign will kick off with an online organising call on Wednesday 17 May 2023 at 7pm.

Join this call to hear from cleaners, security guards, porters and caterers who are campaigning for better pay and fairer treatment at work and begin the discussion about how unions can better work together to support each other’s campaigns.

Please bring this campaign and the organising call to the attention of your members in outsourced grades. They can register online by clicking here:

Yours sincerely
