Palestine Solidarity Campaign virtual Lobby of Parliament on Palestine

The Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) is organising a virtual Lobby of Parliament on Palestine taking place on Tuesday 7th December 2021.

One of the issues will be the targeting of Palestinian civil society organisations as PSC is alarmed by Israel’s recent attempts to define 6 key Palestinian human rights monitoring and civil society bodies as terrorist organisations. The announcement came from the Israeli Defence Minister, Benny Gantz, widely suspected of ordering the committal of war crimes in Gaza in 2014.

The organisations listed are Addameer, Al-Haq, Bisan Center for Research and Development, Defence for Children International – Palestine (DCI-P), the Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC), and the Union of Palestinian Women Committees (UPWC). All do crucial work in documenting Israel’s human rights violations and seeking to ensure it is held to account under international law.

This will be a virtual event, where constituents will be invited to meet with your MP over zoom to discuss Palestine.

Some key points:

You don't need to be an expert on Palestine to participate. PSC will provide a full briefing pack and training on what to expect and do during the Lobby Day.
No-one will meet their MP alone. You will be put in contact with other constituents, and a PSC representative will also join you in the meeting.
