Reminder about Tier 1 and 2 Catering Grade Reps meeting – Wednesday 15 September
This is a reminder to all Tier 1 and 2 reps who represent Catering Grades to register for the meeting in London next Wednesday.
The purpose of this meeting is to brief reps about the threats to the grade and to update them on the campaign and mapping work that has been undertaken by the Catering Grades Executive Committee and the role that reps will play in the campaign. There will be an organising workshop which will support reps in how to undertake mapping work in their workplaces and highlight areas which are targets for recruitment activities.
In line with Union policy, the meeting is scheduled to take place at the Indian YMCA at 41 Fitzroy Square, London W1T 6AQ on Wednesday 15th September from 1pm -4pm. It will also be possible to attend the meeting remotely (via Zoom) if anyone is unable to attend in person.
All relevant reps are encouraged to make efforts to attend this important meeting and must register to attend via the following link - https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/KZW5GZN
All reps requiring release should firstly seek paid release from their employer. Where release will only be granted unpaid, then in the first instance reps should seek to make a claim for loss of earnings and any associated expenses from their branch, or regional council. In any event the union will cover loss of earnings and travel where required.
The agenda will be circulated to attendees nearer the time.
