Dear Colleague,

 

RMT 2024 POLITICAL FUND BALLOT – YOUR UNION. YOUR VOICE. 

 

Further to my previous circulars I am writing to update you on campaigning in respect of the Political Fund ballot and to seek your assistance in securing a massive YES vote in the forthcoming ballot to keep the RMT Political Fund. 

 

As a reminder, the RMT Political Fund postal ballot of all RMT members commences on 16^thSeptember and closes on 21^st October. 

 

Each Branch will shortly receive through the post the following campaign materials: 

 

• 200 x A5 leaflets 
• 20 x A4 posters 
• 10 x sheet of stickers  
• 5 x Guide to winning the Political Fund ballot booklet

 

I can also advise you that local reps and activists are being sent materials and a campaign website will also shortly be going live. These campaign materials will also be available from your Regional Office and by emailing info@rmt.org.uk. 

 

RMT is campaigning to make sure that majority of those members who vote, return a YES to keep the Political Fund.

 

The evidence shows that once members are aware of the issues they are very supportive of the Political Fund.  In the last RMT ballot in 2014, a strong campaign by Branches and activists returned a 96% vote in favour of keeping the Political Fund, so please use these campaign materials and social media such as Union WhatsApp groups to make the case for a massive YES vote.
