Dear Colleague,

 

RMT NATIONAL BLACK & ETHNIC MINORITY MEMBERS’ CONFERENCE 2025

 

The National Black and Ethnic Minority Members’ Conference next year will take place at The Grand Hotel, Ivey Place, High Street, Swansea SA1 1NX on Wednesday 9^th April (starting at noon) to Thursday 10^th April 2025 (concluding by 4pm).  

 

Branches and Regional Councils are entitled to nominate up to a maximum of four B&EM delegates each. Nominations should be made on the attached form and returned to Head Office by 31^st January 2025.  

 

Branches and Regional Councils are also invited to submit motions for the agenda of the Conference which should be relevant to the concerns to our B&EM members and must conform to union policy. All motions should be received at Unity House by 31^st January 2025.  In addition to the above, invitations would be welcome from Branches and Regional Councils to host the 2026 Conference.   

 

Branches and Regional Councils need to confirm with delegates that they are up to date with their subscriptions and clarify what payments can be made towards their expenses before nominating.  A £50 per delegate payment is made to Branches/Regions, up to a maximum of seven, i.e. £350 per Branch/Region per year, payable in respect of delegates to a Grades Conference or the RMT National Women’s, Young Members’, Health and Safety, Black and Ethnic Minority Members’, LGBT+ Members’ or Disabled Members’ Conference.
