Dear Colleague,

 

RMT NATIONAL BLACK & ETHNIC MINORITY MEMBERS’ CONFERENCE 2026

 

I am pleased to inform you that next year’s National Black and Ethnic Minority Members’ Conference will take place at Park Inn Radisson, Wentworth Street, Peterborough PE1 1DH on Tuesday 24^th March (starting at noon) to Wednesday 25^thMarch 2026 (concluding by 4pm).  

 

Branches and Regional Councils are entitled to nominate up to a maximum of four B&EM delegates each. Nominations can be accepted via email from the branch email address and should be received by 30^th January 2026.

 

Branches and Regional Councils are also invited to submit motions for the agenda of the Conference which should be relevant to the concerns to our B&EM members and must conform to union policy. All motions should be received at Unity House by 30^thJanuary 2026.  In addition to the above, invitations would be welcome from Branches and Regional Councils to host the 2027 Conference.   

 

Branches and Regional Councils need to confirm with delegates that they are up to date with their subscriptions and clarify what payments can be made towards their expenses before nominating.  A £50 per delegate payment is made to Branches/Regions, up to a maximum of seven, i.e. £350 per Branch/Region per year, payable in respect of delegates to a Grades Conference or the RMT National Women’s, Young Members’, Health and Safety, Black and Ethnic Minority Members’, LGBT+ Members’ or Disabled Members’ Conference.
