Introduced by RMT President Sean Hoyle Clash Night '77 opens with a roundtable conversation about the mix of politics and punk at the time. With authors Daniel Rachel and Dave Randall, Clash manager 1978-80 Caroline Coon, Rock against Racism founders Red Saunders and Roger Huddle, Pandit G from Asian Dub Foundation and music journalist Ngaire Ruth.
Side 1 will be played in its entirety, live, 'as was' by 48 Thrills featuring Steve North and Nick Miles from the acclaimed stage play Meeting Joe Strummer.
Side 2 will be played as 'now', remixed and rewritten by artists of today. Featuring solo artists Sean McGowan, Nia Wyn and Joe Solo and punk quartet Dream Nails. Spoken word by Emily Harrison.
Poetry on the Picket Line recreate the spirit of the punk era with the Rock Against Racism photography of Syd Shelton plus a solo set by the Lone Groover.
