Dear Colleague,

 

RMT DISABLED MEMBERS’ ADVISORY COMMITTEE - ELECTION FOR 2026-2028 TERM

 

I am seeking nominations from Branches for delegates to serve on the National Disabled Members’ Advisory Committee from January 2026 until December 2028.  Only one nomination per branch will be accepted in this round.  Should vacancies remain a further circular will be sent out.

 

Delegates will be elected for three years and will be eligible for re-election at the completion of their tenure. Please note that current delegates will need to be re-nominated by their branches. Should more branches nominate per regional allocation (which is five), elections will be held.

 

The Advisory Committee meets three times a year (hybrid) and its role is to advise the National Executive Committee on issues relating to disability.  Items are submitted to the Advisory Committee by resolution from Branches and Regional Councils. 

 

Nominations are accepted by email from RMT branch addresses to the Equal Opportunities Officer j.webb@rmt.org.uk to be received by Monday 20^th October 2025.
