Dear Colleague,

 

RMT NATIONAL LGBT+ MEMBERS’ CONFERENCE – 16-17 MAY 2025

 

I am pleased to inform you that the 2025 National Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender + Members’ Conference will take place at the Holiday Inn, 85 Talbot Road, Blackpool FY1 1LL.  It will commence at noon on Friday 16th May and conclude by 4pm on Saturday 17th May 2025.  

 

Branches and Regional Councils are entitled to nominate up to a maximum of four LGBT+ delegates each. Nominations should be made on the attached form and received by 28th February 2025.  

 

Branches and Regional Councils are also invited to submit motions for the agenda of the Conference which should be relevant to the concerns of our LGBT+ members and must conform to union policy. All motions should be received at Unity House by 28thFebruary 2025.  In addition to the above, invitations would be welcome from Branches and Regional Councils to host the 2026 Conference.   

 

Branches and Regional Councils need to confirm with delegates that they are up to date with their subscriptions and what arrangements can be made towards the delegate’s expenses before nominating.  A £50 per delegate payment is offered to Branches, up to a maximum of seven, i.e. £350 per Branch per year, payable in respect of delegates to a Grades Conference or the RMT National Women’s, Young Members’, Health and Safety, Black and Ethnic Minority Members’, LGBT+ Members’ or Disabled Members’ Conference.
