Dear Colleague,

 

RMT NATIONAL WOMEN’S CONFERENCE 1-2 MARCH 2024 - POOLE

 

I am pleased to inform you that the 2024 National Women’s Conference will take place at the RNLI College, West Quay Road, Poole BH15 1HZ, from Friday 1^st March (from noon) to Saturday 2^nd March 2024 (concluding by 4pm). 

 

Branches and Regional Councils are entitled to nominate a maximum of four delegates each. Nominations must be made on the attached form, which should be returned to Head Office by 31 January 2024.  

 

Branches and Regional Councils are also invited to submit motions for the agenda of the Conference which should be relevant to the concerns of women throughout the transport industry and must conform to Union policy. All motions must be received at Unity House by31 January 2024.  In addition to the above, invitations would be welcome from Branches and Regional Councils to host the 2025 Conference.  

 

Branches and Regional Councils need to check with delegates that they are up to date with subscriptions and clarify with them what the Branch/Region can put towards their expenses before nominating. A £50 per delegate payment is made to Branches/Regions, up to a maximum of seven, i.e. £350 per Branch/Region per year, payable in respect of delegates to a Grades Conference or the RMT National Women’, Young Members’, Health and Safety, Black and Ethnic Minority Members’, LGBT+ Members’ or Disabled Members’ Conference.
