RMT NATIONAL WOMEN’S CONFERENCE 4-5 MARCH 2022 - SWANSEA
I am pleased to inform you that, Covid restrictions permitting, the 2022 National Women’s Conference will take place at the Railmens Club & Institute, 42 Wind Street, Swansea SA1 1EE from Friday 4th March (starting at 2pm) to Saturday 5th March 2022 (concluding by 4pm).
Branches and Regional Councils are entitled to nominate a maximum of four delegates each. Nominations must be made on the attached form, which should be returned to Head Office by 31 January 2022.
Branches and Regional Councils are also invited to submit motions for the agenda of the Conference which should be relevant to the concerns of women throughout the transport industry and must conform to Union policy. All motions must be received at Unity House by 31 January 2022. In addition to the above, invitations would be welcome from Branches and Regional Councils to host the 2023 Conference.
Branches and Regional Councils need to confirm with delegates that they are up to date with subscriptions and what can be put towards their expenses before nominating. A £35 per delegate payment is made to Branches, up to a maximum of seven, i.e. £245 per Branch per year, payable in respect of delegates to a Grades Conference or the RMT National Women’, Young Members’, Health and Safety, Black and Ethnic Minority Members’, LGBT+ Members’ or Disabled Members’ Conference.
