Dear Colleague,
RMT NATIONAL WOMEN’S CONFERENCE 8-9 MARCH 2025 - BIRMINGHAM
I am pleased to inform you that next year’s National Women’s Conference will take place at the Millennium Point, Curzon Street, Birmingham B4 7XG from Saturday 8th March (from noon) to Sunday 9th March 2025 (concluding by 4pm).
Branches and Regional Councils are entitled to nominate a maximum of four women delegates each. Nominations should be made on the attached form and returned to Head Office by 31 January 2025.
Branches and Regional Councils are also invited to submit motions for the agenda of the Conference which should be relevant to the concerns of women throughout the transport industry and must conform to union policy. All motions should be received at Unity House by 31 January 2025. In addition to the above, invitations would be welcome from Branches and Regional Councils to host the 2026 Conference.
Branches and Regional Councils need to check with delegates that they are up to date with subscriptions and clarify with them what the Branch/Region can put towards their expenses before nominating. A £50 per delegate payment is made to Branches/Regions, up to a maximum of seven, i.e. £350 per Branch/Region per year, payable in respect of delegates to a Grades Conference or the RMT National Women’s, Young Members’, Health and Safety, Black and Ethnic Minority Members’, LGBT+ Members’ or Disabled Members’ Conference.
