RMT Young Members’ Advisory Conference 2022

I am writing to invite all our RMT Young Members (YM) to consider attending the 2022 Young Members Advisory Conference, being held in Inverness. The Conference is an opportunity to meet other RMT YM’s and discuss issues important to you. The Conference is planned, by the YM National Young Members Advisory Committee, to maximise the input and contribution of those YM’s attending with discussions on resolutions on YM issues, structured discussion sessions that enable the conference delegates to discuss collectively ideas and strategies to deal with current issues facing YM’s and their union, as well as the opportunity to put questions to the RMT National President and myself. Of course, an RMT YM Conference wouldn’t be without its lively extra-curricular social activities outside of Conference hours and 2022 will be no different, I am sure.

The 2022 YM Conference will take place at:

Delegates are invited to arrive on Thursday 24th February 2022 for a Conference reception event, details to follow in due course.

The Conference will commence at 09.30hrs – 17.30hrs on Friday 25th February
and close no later than 15.00hrs on Saturday 26th February 2020, with closing lunch.

Accommodation is available at the venue, and there is accommodation widely available in the city centre. All costs and expenses of all delegates must be met by the nominating branches. The cost of the Conference venue and Conference facilities will be met by Head Office.

Branches and Regional Councils are invited to nominate delegates to attend, conference delegates must be no older than 30 years of age at the start date of the conference.

Branches are invited to submit items for the agenda. The items must be relevant to young members in the union.

Agenda items must be received by the Friday 18th February 2020.

Nominations for delegates should be received by Friday 18th February 2020.
