SOS 2020 – Event in Hull, Saturday 30th September 2017

Further to circular no. NP/136/17 of 30th August 2017, I write alert you to an SOS 2020 event being held in Hull at the end of the month.

The event, which will promote the aims and need for the union’s national SOS 2020 campaign will be held:

Saturday 30th September, 10am-4pm outside Hull Maritime Museum, Queen Victoria Square, Hull HU1 3DX. A map to the venue is attached and can be downloaded here: https://tinyurl.com/y9zxfg8d

Attendance is a legitimate form of Branch expenditure. You are strongly encouraged to attend this and all SOS 2020 events, to demonstrate our shared commitment to fighting the industry’s attack on seafarers’ rights and to secure a future of jobs, training and decent terms and conditions for UK Ratings in the domestic and international shipping industry.

I would be grateful if you could bring the contents of this circular to the attention of members in your branch and you will be kept updated with further developments.
