Dear Colleague,

STAND UP TO RACISM – WEEK OF ACTION

Stand Up to Racism and the TUC have called a week of action across Britain to commemorate George Floyd’s death one year on. This is to both offer solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement in the US and highlight the reality of institutional racism and disproportionate policing in Britain.

There will be a major online rally at 5pm on Saturday 22nd October with the slogan, 'One year on from George Floyd’s Murder... We need action now #UKIsNotInnocent #BlackLivesMatter #SayTheirName' https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1-year-on-from-george-floyds-murder-we-need-action-now-tickets-152878865803

Other local actions and protests will be taking place across the country with several events in Scotland including:

Glasgow, Saturday 22 May, 11.30am, George Square:
