Dear Colleague,

STENA AND P&O FERRIES – PROVISION OF PERIOD PRODUCTS

Glasgow Shipping Branch submitted the following resolution:

“Following on from the progressive steps taken by Northlink Ferries and with this branch’s involvement in ensuring Caledonian MacBrayne provide free period products for all on board their ferries and terminals, Glasgow Shipping Branch requests that the General Secretary approaches Stena and P&O Irish Sea Ferries to request that they likewise provide period products at no cost for passengers, staff and crew alike.”

The resolution was considered by the NEC at their meeting of 10th December 2019 where they agreed the following report:

That we note the resolution from Glasgow Shipping Branch and the sentiments within. Therefore, we instruct the. General Secretary is instructed to take this up in line with the resolution. Relevant branches to be advised. Any further developments to be placed in front of the NEC.
