Dear Colleague,

Surveys: Job Insecurity and Race at Work

The TUC is carrying out a survey on job insecurity, including the issues of irregular hours, low pay, childcare problems and discrimination: https://www.tuc.org.uk/node/120070

In addition, the TUC has also circulated the details of the largest ever workplace survey of race at work being carried out by Business in the Community. They want to hear from 10,000 working ethnic minority people to understand their experience of the UK’s workplaces.  The survey started on Monday 27 July 2015 will run for 7 weeks until Sunday 13 September 2015: https://www.tuc.org.uk/node/123278
Both surveys should take no more than 15 minutes to complete and all the answers provided will remain completely confidential and anonymous.

Please do encourage all members to complete the surveys should they have concerns to share on these topics. For any queries, please do contact our Equal Opportunities Officer, Jess Webb, j.webb@rmt.org.uk

Yours sincerely,

Mick Cash
General Secretary
